At The Burghwood Clinic, our Practice Manager, Mrs Jackie Pomfret, is available to help with any problems or queries Tuesday - Friday. There are three registered nurses who perform intradermal provocative neutralisation skin testing and assist with the administration of IV treatments. We have a laboratory technician/phlebotomist who performs venepuncture and makes up the skin testing solutions & neutralizing vaccines and also a receptionist/administrator.

Jackie Pomfret Jackie Pomfret
Registered Practice Manager

Jackie has worked at the clinic since 1991 following 15 years of general office experience. During her time at the clinic she has gained considerable in-house knowledge of diets and nutrition and has been in charge of the day to day running of the practice for the past ten years.


Liz Liz, RGN, BSc (Hons)
Senior Allergy Clinic Nurse

Liz joined the clinic in 1996 having spent 24 years in general nursing. She has gained considerable knowledge in the field of allergy and nutritional medicine and is particularly skilled at intradermal provocative neutralization skin testing.


Carmen Carmen, RGN
IV Clinic Nurse

Carmen joined the clinic in August 2009. She has had over 20 years of hospital-based nursing experience. Since joining the clinic Carmen has received further specific training on IV drug administration, venepuncture and cannulation.


Claire Claire, RGN, BN (Hons)
Allergy Clinic Nurse

Claire joined the clinic in 2010. She has had considerable experience in all areas of nursing since qualifying in 1997 and has now received specific in-house training on intradermal provocative neutralization skin testing.


Sue Sue
Laboratory Technician/ Phlebotomist

Sue started at the clinic in 1993 following 12 years working as a science technician with the Research & Development division of a multinational pharmaceutical company. Sue does venepuncture and has gained considerable in-house knowledge of making up allergy skin testing solutions and neutralizing vaccines.


Lesley Lesley
Receptionist/Administrator

Lesley joined the clinic in January 2005. She has considerable experience over many years working with the public, dealing with customer enquiries, both on the telephone and in person and she previously worked for 3 years in the outpatients department of a local specialist hospital.
