Fertility, Pre-conceptual Care & Healthy Pregnancy
Many people have come to understand that the health of both parents to be, has direct effects on the capacity to conceive, to have an enjoyable, uneventful pregnancy and a healthy baby. There is evidence to suggest that couples who consciously adopt healthy lifestyles before any attempts to conceive and optimise their nutrition and diet, are more likely to conceive promptly and to have a healthy pregnancy, an easy labor and a healthy baby.
Ideally, any pre-existing issues need to be resolved, one's nutritional status assessed and any documented deficiencies corrected.
We have found that a healthy diet is as essential as giving up smoking and alcohol, in order to prepare a woman's immune system to be ready for a healthy pregnancy.
